Our Story

REDEMPTION CITY CHURCH WAS PLANNED IN THE HEART OF GOD LONG BEFORE IT BEGAN ITS ACTUAL FORMATION.

In 1993, Lead Pastor Bill Muench was Pastor Daniels Sunday School teacher at a local Austin church. A few years later, Bill was called into the ministry and some years after, Daniel was also called into ministry. Both followed that calling in different places and with different people until 2008 when Bill and Debbie moved back to the Austin area and began investing in the lives of couples throughout the city.

In 2013 Daniel and Caanon were led back to the Austin by the Lord to plant a church. They had no idea at the time who would be reached or who God would bring along to join them in this effort. Early on, God connected them with a church that had been financially preparing, and praying that God would send them a church planter so that they could support and send them out. That church was Hill Country Bible Church Leander and not long after Daniel came on staff with them as a church planter.
Bill and Daniel began doing ministry together again and after some very clear evidence from the Lord, Bill soon joined Daniel and took the lead in planting Redemption City Church. Many of those couples that Bill and Debbie had been doing ministry with were some of the first families to join RCC and the Lord continued to give flesh and bones to the church that He was building.
Our first service took place October 19th, 2014 in Round Rock High School, where Redemption City Church became the 28th church plant of the Hill Country Bible Church Association.
